Frequently asked questions

General
What is Post Office?
A production platform that connects agencies and brands who need video work with independent videographers, directors, editors, colourists, motion designers, sound designers, cast and influencers. The whole process — brief, crew, shoot, edit, revisions, approval and payment — runs from one dashboard. Equipment and location owners can also list their resources for rent.
Does the platform decide who I work with?
No. Browse profiles and pick directly, or publish a listing and choose among the applicants yourself. On projects managed by Post Office the studio builds the crew; you see who works in which role on the work order.
How do fees and commission work?
The agency pays the total shown on the work order; nothing is added on top. The platform commission and payment processing fee are deducted from the professional's fee, and the rates are locked at the moment of assignment — later rate changes do not affect a job in progress. On projects managed by Post Office a project management fee is shown separately on the work order. For equipment and location rentals the commission is taken from the supplier's income.
Who can see the files and data I upload?
Raw footage, edits, notes and messages that belong to a job are shown in the dashboard only to the parties of that job — the agency and the crew assigned to it — and never appear on public profiles. Videos are hosted on Vimeo as unlisted. Your public profile shows only what you choose to publish, plus your showcase videos. See the KVKK Data Notice and the Privacy Policy for details.
Which agreements apply, and where do I find them?
The Terms of Service and the KVKK Data Notice apply to everyone. In addition, agencies and clients accept the Customer / Agency Agreement and the Refund Policy; crew accept the Professional Agreement; anyone listing equipment or a location accepts the Supplier Agreement; renters accept the Rental Terms. All are linked at the bottom of the page. The documents you have accepted, with dates, are listed under My Agreements in your dashboard. The Turkish originals govern.
For agencies and brands
How do I open a job request?
Use "New request" in your dashboard to describe the project: brief, deadline, the roles you need. Then either pick a public profile directly, or publish it as an open listing — matching crew are notified and you choose among the applications.
When and how do I pay?
You first load the project budget into your platform balance. When the crew is assigned, the total of the assigned roles is put on hold in your balance: the money stays in your account but cannot be used for anything else. When you approve the work, the held amount is released to the crew. Without enough available balance the assignment cannot be made.
What if I don't like the delivered work?
Before approving you can request a revision from the dashboard; notes are tied to the exact second of the video (timecode) and go straight to the editor. Unless the work order says otherwise, two revision rounds are included. Out-of-scope requests — a new shoot, a new script, a format change — are a new job, not a revision.
What happens if I never respond after delivery?
If you neither approve, request a revision nor open a dispute within five days of the delivery notice, the job is deemed approved and the held amount is released to the crew. The rule exists so that a crew who has delivered is not left waiting indefinitely; the delivery notice reminds you of it.
What happens to my money if I cancel a job?
Send your cancellation request to the studio. Any held amount that has not been settled returns to your balance; the stage the job reached and the work done so far are taken into account. See the Refund Policy for the detailed terms. A job that has been approved and paid cannot be cancelled; in that case you can open a dispute.
What can I do if I disagree with the crew?
Open a dispute from the job page and state your reasons. The studio reviews the work order, the delivered files, the revision notes and the messages, and works towards a resolution with both sides. Your legal rights are reserved.
Can I work with a ready-made team instead of one person?
Yes. The Teams page lists groups of connected crew members who cover several roles together. You can also build your own crew template from people you work with often and ask all of them for availability in one go.
For crew, cast and influencers
How do I register?
Pick your role on the registration form and sign up with e-mail and password or with your Google account; the account is active immediately. If you sign in with Google and have no profile photo, your Google photo is used as a starting point — change it whenever you like.
When does my profile become public?
Publishing is approved by the studio and three things are required: a profile photo, a phone number and (for technical crew roles) at least one skill. The "Complete your profile" box in your dashboard shows what is missing. Bio, showcase video, day rate and Instagram link are optional, but profiles that include them get far more attention. You can unpublish your profile at any time.
How do I get work?
Three ways: an agency sees your profile and picks you directly; an open listing matching your role is published, you are notified and apply from the Listings page; or an agency asks about your availability for specific dates. Keeping your calendar up to date and adding a showcase video noticeably improves your chances.
When and how much do I get paid?
When the agency approves the work — or when it is deemed approved because the agency did not respond within five days of delivery — your fee is credited to your platform balance. The net amount is your role fee on the work order minus the platform commission and the payment processing fee; rates are locked at assignment and shown in the assignment notice. To have your balance transferred to your bank account, contact the studio; transfers are made against a legally valid document (invoice or receipt).
What are availability requests and emergency calls?
An availability request is an agency asking whether you are free on given dates; you are expected to block the dates you accept. An emergency call is a last-minute announcement sent to everyone whose role and date match — first to accept gets it. Failing to show up for work you accepted, without a valid reason, may lead to your account being suspended.
Can I work together with other crew members?
Yes. Add each other as connections first, then create a Team and invite them. Once your team is published, agencies see you as one joint profile covering several roles.
I bring my own gear to set — how do I show that?
Add your equipment with a day rate under "Equipment I bring to jobs" in your profile; the agency can select it on top of your labour fee when assigning you. That list appears only on your profile. Renting your gear out to others is a different thing: for that, create a listing in the Rentals section.
Equipment and location rental
How do I rent out my equipment or location?
In the Rentals section of your dashboard, open the "My listings" tab and enter category, name, description, day rate and a photo. Before your first listing you accept the Supplier Agreement. Listings with photos get requests noticeably faster.
Why doesn't my listing appear right away?
Listings go live after a short review by the studio. Meanwhile you see it in "My listings" as "Awaiting approval"; once approved it appears in the public rental market and you are notified.
What happens when someone requests my listing?
You get a dashboard notification, an e-mail and — if your phone is on file — a WhatsApp message. Approve or decline the request under Incoming requests in the "My listings" tab; approval confirms the booking. You can message the requester on WhatsApp with one tap to arrange the hand-over. Take care not to approve two requests for the same item on overlapping dates.
How does it work for the renter?
Pick a listing in the rental market, enter the dates and send a request. The total (day rate × days) is put on hold in your balance; if the supplier declines, all of it is released, and if they approve, your booking is confirmed. You accept the Rental Terms before your first request.
Why does the hand-over report matter?
At pick-up and return you upload photos showing the condition of the item. In any claim about damage, missing parts or loss, this report is the evidence that counts — it protects both sides. From pick-up to return the renter is responsible for the item; normal wear is not damage.
As a supplier, when do I get paid?
Once the rental period ends, the item is returned without issue and the studio marks the rental complete, the held amount is settled; after the platform commission (15% at the time of publication) the remainder is credited to your balance.
Can a rental request be cancelled?
The renter can cancel from the dashboard and the held amount is released. If a supplier cancels an approved booking or fails to hand over the item, the full amount returns to the renter; repeating this may lead to listings being suspended.
Account, notifications and privacy
Which notifications do I get, and how do I turn them off?
Notifications about your work (assignment, delivery, approval, messages, rental requests) arrive in the dashboard, by e-mail and, if your phone is on file, on WhatsApp. You can switch off WhatsApp notifications and "new listing for my role" e-mails under Notification preferences in your profile. Campaign and promotional messages are sent only if you give separate consent, and can be switched off in the same place at any time. Account-security and payment notices are independent of these preferences.
I forgot my password — what should I do?
If you signed up with Google, or have a Google account on the same e-mail, use "Sign in with Google". Otherwise write to info@postoffice.com.tr from the e-mail address registered on your account; once we verify your identity we restore your access.
Can I change my account type later?
Yes. From your profile page you can change your account type (agency or a production role) and add the extra roles you can cover next to your main one. Your past jobs are tied to your account, so they are not affected.
How do I exercise my rights over my personal data?
For your rights under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) — access, correction, deletion and so on — use the channels on the KVKK Data Subject Request Form page; requests are answered free of charge within thirty days at the latest. You can update your profile details, photo and notification preferences directly in your dashboard, and unpublish your profile.
Are the AI tools (AI Studio) paid?
Image generation is charged to your balance, and only when generation succeeds and the result is delivered to you — nothing is charged on a technical failure. The current price is shown on the AI Studio page. Text helpers such as the profile bio draft are free.
